1. Overview
After Networking ("we", "us", or "our") provides a business card scanning application that extracts contact information from card images and syncs it to a customer relationship management (CRM) system you control. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the app at afternetworking.com (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in or connect your CRM, we receive your account identifier, name, email, and the OAuth tokens needed to write contacts back to your CRM on your behalf.
- Card images. When you upload or photograph a business card, the image is transmitted to our servers and stored so you can review and reference it later.
- Extracted contact data. Fields parsed from each card — including name, title, company, email, phone, website, and LinkedIn URL — along with any tags or custom field mappings you configure.
- Usage data. Standard logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps, and page or API endpoint accessed) used for security and reliability.
- LinkedIn integration data. If you enable LinkedIn integration, we store the credentials and request status needed to send connection requests on your behalf, subject to LinkedIn's terms.
3. How we use information
- To run the Service: extract contact fields from card images, sync them to your CRM, and let you review past scans.
- To trigger downstream automations you configure (for example, follow-up sequences) inside your CRM.
- To send transactional messages, such as account or security notifications.
- To monitor, secure, and improve the Service.
4. AI processing and subprocessors
To extract contact information from card images, we send those images to third-party AI vision providers under a data processing agreement. We pass the minimum necessary data — typically just the image — and we do not allow these providers to use your data to train their models where that option is available to us. A current list of subprocessors is available on request.
5. Sharing
- Your CRM. Contact records and metadata you choose to sync flow into the CRM you connect, governed by your agreement with that CRM.
- Service providers. Hosting, storage, AI processing, email delivery, and analytics vendors acting on our behalf under contract.
- Legal requirements. If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and users' safety.
- We do not sell your personal information.
6. Retention
Card images and extracted records are retained for as long as your account is active so you can reference them. You can delete individual scans at any time from the dashboard. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, scoped access, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@afternetworking.com.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. International transfers
We may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
